Musica Concerto (Pvt w/ Mimi Mountbatten)

Back of the school is a large garden surrounded by hedges and a large pond with open paths. This area of the school is for you to chat with other characters casually, discuss your school work, practice your technique without fear of running into creatures of Grimm, and to meet new people.

Musica Concerto (Pvt w/ Mimi Mountbatten)

Tonight of all nights -aside from random sightings of the masked musician that he was- was a rather rare event that, with the permission of several individuals, was something he actually looked forward to doing. Setting off some printed flyers days before, a small advertisement for something of a casual party -though one would guess it was more of a concert, or even more of a sort of get-together of random students. Of course scheduling this kind of thing was hell on his free time, but his mind said that the nostalgia was plenty worth it. The Vacouan disk jockey smiled as he had brought his equipment with him: mainly a laptop, and a couple speakers; the rest of what he needed was at the stage itself.

Chroma remembered how he found this place, it was pretty swell of the people to mention this little gem to him since it was not only the stage he would have set up on, but also the one he used to unwind and simply relax -especially since it seemed like playing music in his dormroom, at the volume he normally listened at, was a definite no unless he intended to deal with an angry mob of tired students. The soundboy took another loo at the stage with a grin; it had a sort of roof for the performers and anyone the was to be behind the curtains -an obvious implement minded towards that of inclement weather conditions and such. Another look had shown that it was obviously off of the beaten path of the campus, the only indication of it's existence being a well treaded dirt path that lead to the front of the stage. Among the area in front of the stage were a large collection of some rather long benches in sets of columns, about five for each column of which there were three.

Since he set up a little bit more beforehand, there were some dimly lit lights marking the path as well as some scattered around the viewing area. Additionally he moved several of the benches back to make way for some folding chairs and tables that he had set up at the same time as the lighting. He smiled to himself, and his mask reciprocated the smile with its average 'smile' emote as he walked up to the stage itself and began to add the finishing touches.

--Several Hours Later--
By now the stage had not only been set up, but the crowd had came and the hosted get-together had went into full swing for about... two hours. He managed to finish setting up a few minutes before people even showed up, pure luck on his side he could have imagined. New faces abound and even more to come it seemed his plan was a success, which signaled that he had a lot more people interested in what he did -which left his own mind in that state of contentment. It was fairly dark out at the time, but with the lighting he had provided and the various wisps of translucent color swirling, ebbing, and flowing about the stage and the get-together area, there seemed to be enough of a home-y, casual atmosphere that he wanted to create, something that gave him that jolt of old memories playing in the back of his mind as he let the music. Coincidentally this was also the last song he'd chose to play for the night. The mask he wore -the one he felt most comfortable with on stage- seemed to give off a bright display of emotes that had changed on a semi-regular basis: some were smiles, others were random expressions of joy and happiness.

The soundboy, during the last seconds of the song, simply relaxed back in his folding chair on stage. He didn't really want to go out and socialize with the people that attended -as much of a party foul it was for the host who set it all up, he felt like if people wanted to talk to him, they'd just go right up to him and talk; otherwise the people around seemed content with talking with each other. Well since the song ended, it seemed some people were picking up some trash, others were leaving with friends -some probably well acquainted and others probably just having met for the first time. His lazy look behind the mask shifted between the people that were still present.

Most of them seemed to either linger to help clean up the sort of viewing area, or just talk amongst themselves. There was that proud feeling in his gut; like he did something right, something that he knows he would be happy to look back upon. He walked to the edge of the stage, deciding to sit there while his legs dangled towards the dirt ground that supported the stage. By now the technicolor wisps had dissipated and he was simply reduced to watching while people began to vacate the area and leave into the night to their dorms or wherever. Chrome decided to linger out, knowing he'd have to clean up all of the equipment either way.

A slow jet of breath streamed into the air with audibly as Mimi kicked along the paths that wound around her school. She was tired of looking for band mates for today. It appeared that, perhaps, her band wasn't made to exist here. Sure, there were plenty of musicians but they didn't really fit the sound that she needed them to fit. It was frustrating to say the least. Those large eyes glanced up at the posters that, weeks earlier, Mimi had pinned to the walls of the school without asking permission. Some had been torn down. The faunus could only hope that it was because someone wanted to keep the information, and not because she had somehow pissed someone off enough for them to take down the sheets of paper. Thus far, she hadn't heard any complaints from campus faculty or staff so she hoped the flyers would remain up for a little bit longer at least. It wasn't until her eyes wandered down to where one of her flyers had been dropped that her interest shifted. Another paper was lying over the top of her own. It advertised a party of sorts...with music. Mimi wasn't much for parties, but she couldn't pass up the opportunity to see another one of Beacon's musicians.

So it happened that she found herself in the gardens later that day. The tea-length pink and yellow sun dress that she was wearing didn't seem to go with the rest of the crowd but Mimi had never really worried about fitting in. Her thin, papery ears were covered by a slouchy pink beanie and the girl's small feet hand little gray mary janes protecting them from the various detritus that littered the garden's grounds. She looked around her. This wasn't what she was expecting.

The music started loud and...metallic. Not metallic like metal, metallic like... circuit boards. Electronic then? Mimi hadn't ever been exposed to electronic music--aside from an electric guitar-- but this was different. Wide eyes stared up at the person on stage. He--(she? Mimi couldn't tell through the mask), seemed to be doing very little actual playing of music--was he just playing something recorded? He blonde wasn't sure how these things worked but she sat quietly watching for the entire show. Hand folded demurely on her lap she waited until the last song was over then kept her eyes on the stage even after the rest of the "party" had filtered away to their dorms. At the end, the performer sat on the edge of the stage--legs dangling. Mimi remained glued to her seat, eyes blinking every now and then to let people know she was alive. Finally, after the last audience member had drifted away she let out a mildly judgmental "Hm." that signaled the finality of her decision regarding this event.

Chroma's own eyes seemed to travel about the unfolding scene of people vacating the area. Proud couldn't really precisely describe his mood as he took it as a job well done. Maybe he should host these shindigs more often, they seem to get quite a bit of move and if anything that was enough for him to do this sort of thing and it was always out of his own time. Just another thing to ask the professors in his opinion. As the -not so- last person filtered out, the soundboy seemingly sighed as his eyes sailed over and ignored the small lady with mouse ears. He loved his work, it was simply his biggest passion and the one thing he could almost never give up. Heck even the thought of such a thing was preposterous! Chroma let down his hood for a second, the androgynous fellow's sandy blonde hair finally shone to the air for the first time in hours -one could be surprised how he kept his hood on the whole time, except for Chroma. Whose hoodie regulated it's own temperature with the assistance of dust.

Soon after the hood was let down, he took his mask off, the pixel lights shutting off as he stowed the face wear into his hoodie pocket with a simple motion that couldn't really be described as none more than calm. With his own awareness of the mouse faunus nonexistent for the time being, he pushed himself off of the stage, stretching somewhat as he turned his head about the area. Another brief lazy scan had alerted him to the presence of someone else: what seemed to be a little girl with some rather large mouse ears in a sundress. This person didn't seem like the normal person to appear at a club -or even a party for that matter; a party of the non-formal sort of course, the kind Chroma usually finds himself in. 'Why'd anyone else be here? Party's over, ain't there other plans for 'em?" Quite frankly he was surprised that someone had lingered like the host had, more especially so when they looked like they were headed to a picnic.

Well they seemed to be the sort to wait for something if Chroma was to judge, and it didn't seem to be for refreshments considering that everyone else was gone. Nevertheless the androgynous disk jockey decided to approach, waving towards the lady. "Hey, you alright there, kiddo?" His mannerism was rather calm and relaxed as he spoke, like it always was. Looking around, the soundboy decided to pull up a chair and sit back in it as it seemed he may be here longer than he expected.
